SHARJAH – Lahore Qalandars restricted Islamabad United to mere 145/8 in the 14th match of HBL PSL 2017 at the Sharjah Cricket Ground, Sharjah.

Lahore Qalandars skipper Brandon McCullum won the toss and opted to field first. The first three overs were good for Islamabad, as they extracted 28 runs without a wicket. But then, both openers Rafatullah (16) and Smith (20) got out back to back.

Haddin (1) and Duckett (13) were also early goers. Misbah (16 showed some resistance but, he fell prey to one of the crucial decisions from the umpire. The next man to depart for United was Watson for 6. Islamabad scattered all around when Ammad Butt and Shadab Khan took the score to 145/8 with some big hits.

The duo added valuable 53 runs off just 34 balls before Ammad went for 17 runs in the last over.
