ISLAMABAD – The Federal Interior Ministry led by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan might have released the ‘wrong men’ labeling them as non-combatant Taliban prisoners, alleged the coordinator of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)’s appointed negotiator committee Maulana Yousuf Shah.
Shah was speaking to media personnel ahead of meeting with government committee and federal interior minister Ch Nisar.
Shah also said that the government should refrain from issuing rhetorical statements and take the Taliban committee into confidence regarding the issue of prisoners’ release.
He clearly stated that none of the names who got released from prison were on the list handed over to government.
The government backed committee for negotiations and Taliban appointed were scheduled to convene a meeting today by Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan as yesterday federal government and military top brass had already decided next stages of talks with outlawed militants.
Earlier, outlawed TTP announced to hold back their guns against Pakistan government and security forces as government released as many as 19 non-combatant militants of Mehsud tribe.
Yesterday, PakistanTribe attributed the report published by an international news agency claiming that at least 16 Taliban prisoners were released with the direct orders of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. After that report, the office of Prime Minister straightforwardly denied any role playing in this regard rather it denied the release of any such prisoners.
