Amid Taliban Talks, Karachi police killed two TTP men in Sohrab Goth

WEB DESK – As Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led federal government is busy in negotiations with outlawed militant group of Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) led administration in Sindh continued hunting the terrorists in largest metropolitan city where in a recent action two such men were killed in an encounter.

Metropolitan correspondents confirmed the reports, attributing police sources, that at least two alleged members of outlawed militants were gunned down in Sohrab Goth area of Karachi.

Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Karachi police confirmed that on an accurate tip-off Police raided a locality in Sohrab Goth. Feeling the presence of police, militants initiated gun-battle that was responded back by policemen. The exchange of fire resulted in killing of two members of militants while two others believed to have fled the scene.

The deceased are identified as Abdullah and Zikaria from whom weapons were also recovered.

On April 1, PakistanTribe reported that the outlawed militants accused Sindh government for wanting to sabotage the ongoing peace process between federal government and outlawed outfit.

News report quoted sources privy to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) saying that despite ceasefire, Sindh government continued to arrest their members and tortured them in prisons.
