PTI led govt of KPK faces trouble as 23 Insafiyans resigned from the assembly

PTI Insafiyans

WEB DESK – According to the televised reports and social media watch, as many as 23 members of first-timer in power corridors, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), have resigned from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) assembly after developing difference with its leadership.

According to the latest details, angry and grieved members of the PTI have submitted their resignations with the deputy speaker of KPK assembly.

The political analyst and anchorperson of AajTV, Reham Khan, attributed the news and tweeted:

PakistanTribe reported earlier that Imran Khan was expected to meet the angry members of PTI today. However, it was reported by almost all electronic media outlets that Khan refused to meet the grieved members of PTI. He reported as saying “We would conduct the re-elections on vacant seats rather to give in for the blackmailing.”

It is worth mentioning here that after 18th constitutional amendment, lawmakers of any political party could be held accountable for not following the party guidelines while voting on the resolutions in legislative assemblies. Moreover, the party chief could suspend the membership of legislative assembly of any member who ceased to act upon policy set by the parties.

Thus, the law only leave an option of resigning from the membership of legislative assembly for a lawmaker who would have developed differences with the party.

It was believed that angry members of PTI were not happy with the interference of Jahangir Khan Tareen in the matters of KPK government. Jahangir Khan Tareen is the famous Pakistani industrialist, owner of one regional language television channel and former federal minister on behalf of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-Q). Tareen was also a close associate of PTI chief Imran Khan as both leaders went to FC College Lahore. After joining the PTI, Tareen was elected unopposed to the post of Secretary General through an internal party election. It was also believed that Tareen plays a very vital role in key decisions of party and KPK government. Reham Khan also confirmed in a tweet.

Not to forget that Lodhran is the constituency of Tareen where he lost the national assembly’s seat in general elections.

If 23 resignations of PTI lawmakers got approved then Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will have to call the reelections on all constituencies within 90 days.

Moreover, until yesterday, PTI had made no official statement on this forward bloc as yet. But on March 20, PakistanTribe reportedImran Khan as saying “We are also investigating a forward bloc formation by at least three MPAs of PTI in KPKassembly. I am telling you that they would be expelled from the party but we will never surrender to the blackmailing.”

However, this is not what Ahmad Jawad – a die-hard Insafiyan who recently resigned from PTI – believed in. According to Ahmad Jawad, PTI leaders are making money out of polio campaign in KPK and Imran Khan is well aware of this scenario.

Moreover, Awami National Party (ANP) leader and Senator Zahid Khan had also claimed that at least ten PTI ministers are involved in corruption.

Interestingly, one official communique issued by PTI central media cell after party’s core committee’s meeting also stated that financiers of Sehat ka Insaf personally requested Imran Khan to take charge of the healthcare campaign.
