LAHORE : The national cricket team captain Muhammad Hafeez accepted the responsibility of shameful failure against West Indies and resigned from captaincy.While addressing a press conference in Lahore, Hafeez said ” The talk with Najam Sethi was in a pleasant atmosphere . I expressed my desire to leave captaincy, No one pressurized me to take this practical decision.
I decided to leave captaincy due to poor performance against West Indies.”
Professor said that he always tried to do justice to his responsibilities
“I am ready to play as a player in team,” he said.
Muhammad Hafeez also thanked to board, officials , media and fans to support him over the captaincy.
It should be mentioned here that former cricketers and critics criticized a lot pakistani team and board on Pakistan’s failure after which Muhammad Hafeez decided to leave captaincy.
On the other hand Shahid Khan Afridi indirectly showed his desire to lead team green said ” I am ready to accept any challenge.”
