ISLAMABAD – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigator Kamran Faisal’s death has been declared as murder in forensic report presented before the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan.
Forensic report, which was presented before the apex court on Friday, declared the NAB official’s death as a murder, contradicting the alleged suicide episode.
Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja was hearing the Kamran Faisal death case while Advocate Aftab Bajwa presented the forensic report on behalf of deceased father Abdul Majeed. After viewing the report, Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja said, ‘Forensic report came up; it was not suicide but a murder.’
Advaocate Aftab Bajwa requested the apex court for formation of joint investigation team.
SC issued notice to Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Sikandar Hayat for consulting Attorney General in order to commence thorough investigation and adjourned the court for one week.
Kamran Faisal, the NAB officer investigating the Rs22 billion rental power project case in which Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf is allegedly involved, was found dead in his official residence at Federal Lodges on January 18.
