WEB DESK – The violence sickened largest metropolitan city of Pakistan has been awarded with two more dead bodies brutally tortured and shot with the gun, confirmed police sources.
The bodies were recover from Mianwali colony of the Manghopir area on Wednesday morning.
According to the police sources, the victims had been tortured before being shot dead. Police also said that the victims were dressed in Shalwar Kamiz and could not be identified as yet.
Police shifted the dead bodies to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for further identification through medical examination and DNA testing if possible.
A targeted operation against criminal elements had been underway for past many months. But the gangsters never gave up to gift dead bodies to the city almost every day.
The Director General of Sindh Rangers – paramilitary force leading the Karachi operation – once said that the designated powers to his force were not enough to bring peace back.
Moreover, the country’s premier spy agency, Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), believed that militant wings of the major political parties in Sindh were behind the chaos in Karachi.
The leader of largest political party of Karachi, Dr Farooq Sattar, had related the peace in the city with the prospects of Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s alliance with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Until recently, there were confusing information all over regarding MQM-PPP alliance in the province of Sindh. On one hand, Asif Ali Zardari had reportedly ordered his party leaders to go forth and start the final phase of negotiations with MQM. While on other hand the senior leader of PPP, Syed Khurshid Shah, had denied any possibility of MQM to join Sindh government’s cabinet.
