Jamaat e Islami replaces Syed Munawar Hasan

JI or jamaat e islami new chiefLAHORE – After a strict counting of over 30,000 members vote, Jamaat e Islami Pakistan has elected senior minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sirajul Haq as new head or Amir. 

Siraj, who is known for his simple and vocal style, will be serving the post for next five years. 

Prior to him, Syed Munawar Hasan, who kept on rocking Media through his statements, headed the party 2009 to 2014. 

JI, with a strong presence allover the country, elects its head after every five. The party also has strong members base across the country giving it a street power in many cases.
