Mazar-e-Qauid under threat, govt increased the security at night


WEB DESK – The security at Jinnah’s mausoleum has been beefed up amid threats to the tomb of Father of the Nation Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

According to the details, the government of Sindh had increased the number of security personnel during night around the tomb.

As many as 50 armed policemen stay inside the tomb’s premises while a handsome number of Sindh Rangers’ soldiers remain alert outside.

Last year on June 15, 2013 the insurgents of Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) – a militant outlawed organization – had carried out heinous attack on Jinnah’s residency in Ziarat. Jinnah’s residency was burnt to ashes in hand grenade and rocket attacks. Militants filled the chambers of building with gas and then set it on fire after dishonoring the Jinnah’s personal monuments placed inside the building.

Moreover, the BLA released the video of attack on the even of Pakistan’s independence day later that year to further incite the feelings of Pakistan.

On March 21, PakistanTribe reported that one of the intelligence agencies of Pakistan had predicted an attack on Pakistan Minaret in Lahore.
