WEB DESK – According to the televised reports, the outlawed militant group told the government committee that abducted high profile civilians should be considered as ‘combatant prisoners’.
The outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) maintained while meeting government negotiation committee that Shahbaz Taseer and Ali Musa Gilani were not in any case non-combatant prisoners.
Taliban also confirmed that Ajmal Khan was kept as one of their own elders.
Earlier on Friday, PakistanTribe reported that Samiul Haq wants government to release Taliban prisoners beforehand if it wanted any favor from TTP.
Sami also said that Taliban were ready to release to some important persons from their custody but on conditions.
PakistanTribe reported on March 27 that Taliban had refused to release Shahbaz Taseer s/o late Governor of Punjab Salman Taseer and Ali Musa Gilani s/o former premier Yousuf Raza Gilani. However, the conditional release of professor Ajmal Khan, vice chancellor of a university, was acceptable to militant group. The condition was to release their two men currently in custody of Sindh government.
