WEB DESK – The chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Najam Sethi has revealed the secret behind Pakistan’s defeat from India in World T20 match and it was ‘confusion’ and ‘over confidence’.

Sethi was speaking to media upon his return from Bangladesh, where he watched the match himself. He said that “Confusion and overconfidence led to Pakistan’s defeat against India in the World-T20 match.”

“However, the team was perfuming better now and its Pakistan’s chances for qualifying for the final has improved,” Sethi added.

Pakistan lost the World T20 match against India when his batsman could only score 131 runs. However, it is worth mentioning here that before the match with their arch rivals, Green Shirts played two crucial practice matches with South Africa and New Zealand in which they failed to give any impressive performances. Pakistan could only win from New Zealand in the practice matches.

Despite losing match against India, the captain of Pakistani squad, Muhammad Hafeez, believed that they could still win the title as the real game was yet to be played. Later, in their second match, Green Shirts outclassed the team Australia and won the match with 16 runs to prove the spark is still alive.

Shoaib Akhter, former fast bowler of Pakistan cricket team, predicted in the beginning of the tournament that if there was one team capable to defeat Pakistan in World T20 tournament then its Pakistan itself.
