Driver of one High Court judge left son to be chained in Madrassa

WEB DESK – One dehydrated and tortured boy – Umair Ramzan – managed to escape from a local religious education center (madrassa) while still in chains whose father was then identified as one driver of Lahore High Court’s judge.

According to the televised reports, Umair dragged himself in chains on his escape from a local madrassa in Lahore on Monday morning.

The local residents spotted the boy and released him from the chains and gave him water to drink.

On gaining senses, Umair told the media representatives that his teacher (Qari) used to torture him every now and then over minor mistakes. He also said that almost every student at his madrassa was treated brutally.

Talking about his family and father, Umair told that his father is a driver and serving a Lahore High Court’s judge for past 20 years. Umair has six siblings and he is the fifth child of his parents. Moreover, Umair also said that his father was least concern about the torture at madrassa and often describes it as a necessary part of education.

Commenting over this incident, religious-political leader, Maulana Tahir Ashrafi said that madrassa administration and parents of the boy both should be hold accountable for this incident.
