Scarce Gas: No CNG for Sindh until Tuesday 8 am

WEB DESK – The Gas station in Sindh have been shut down for 24 hours until 8 am Tuesday as per directions of Sui Southern Gas Company limited.

According to the details, the CNG stations were shut down on Monday 8 am for next 24 hours on the directives of gas supply company.

Sui Southern Gas Company said that the CNG filling stations were closed in accordance with the schedule of gas load management.

CNG Association also accpeted the decision and announced to comply with the directions. Representative of CNG association said that all CNG outlets would remain shut for 24 hours until 8 am on Tuesday.

Sindh is the largest producer province of natural gas and second largest consumer. As per latest statistics, Sindh produce 69 percent of total gas in a day while consume 41 percent. The province of Punjab, however, remains the largest consumer of natural gas in any given day with its consumption mounting to 45 percent. The production of gas in Punjab is only 5 percent of the total.

Last week, it was reported on Pakistan Tribe that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK)’s government has asked the federal government to let it utilize all of its produced natural gas instead of sharing with centralized gas management system.
