Pakistan Day Celebration Across Country

pakistan day celebrationLAHORE – Pakistanis are celebrating the Pakistan Day, a rememberance to the day when a resolution for an independent country was passed.

The resolution was passed on March 23, 1940 at the place where now Minar e Pakistan is located with Muslims across the subcontinent unanimously resolved for a separate state.

To mark the national day, 31-gun salute was made in the federal capital of Islambad and 21-gun salutes in all five provincial capitals.

Political, social, religious and other organizations have arranged functions to highlight the importance of the Pakistan Resolution that paved the way for the creation of an independent homeland for Muslims of the subcontinent.
