Fake Taliban leader held in Attock for demanding extortion

WEB DESK – Police has arrested one fake Taliban leader who was sending postal letters to different people in the locality stating to pay extortion or face dire consequences.

According to the police sources, one college professor identified as Waqar Arif alias Abu Mairaj was behind the mysterious letters sent to different people in Attock.

Police was investigating the case after one local doctor lodged an FIR upon receiving a letter asking him to pay extortion amount.

The details also confirmed that accused Waqar Arif is a professor in a local college in Army Cantt are of the Attock.

However, it was still to be determined that what motives Waqar held other than extortion money to portray himself to be a Taliban leader.
