Woman in Lahore set herself on fire in pursuit of justice

WEB DESK – In a very disturbing incident in front of Chief Minister House, Lahore, a mother of four attempted self immolation when failed to receive any satisfactory response from police and chief minster house’s administration for addressing her grievances.

According to the televised reports, the woman identified as Abida Perveen was sitting in front of Chief Minister’s house in Lahore since Friday morning.

She tried to get a world from on duty security officials but after a while set herself on fire. She was sitting outside CM House along with his brother and four children aged between 12 and 5 years.

According to eye witness accounts, Abida was seriously burnt and shifted to hospital in a police vehicle. Later, Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and asked the authorities to provide the best treatment to the victim.

Further reports claimed, that Abida had filed a complaint against her brother in-law who used to torture her but the police failed to take action which led her to set herself on fire.
