PESHAWAR – Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan had abandoned his party’s youth wing aka Insaf Students Federation (ISF)’s annual convention as he abstained participating in the event and only could manage to address Insafiyans via video link.

According to the information received by sources inside ISF, the date of student body’s annual convention was rescheduled only for a hope that their leader could participate in it.

“Previously it was scheduled for March 19 but rescheduled for Thursday due to unknown reasons. But even then Imran Khan missed it claiming there were threats,” one source said.

Khan, while addressing via video link, said “I could not attend the convention due to security concerns, as I do not want to risk the lives of party workers.”

Khan also repeated his old staunched statement of alleged rigging in general elections which according to him deprived PTI from forming government at federal level. Moreover, Khan could not continue the speech due to technical hindrance in broadcasting.
