India has to wait longer to become Pakistan’s favorite

ISLAMABAD – It seems that friendly neighbor India now has have to wait longer than Friday (tomorrow) to become the most favorite nation for Pakistan in terms of trade and economic cooperation.

According to the details, the special meeting of federal cabinet which was supposed to be convened tomorrow (Friday) had been cancelled.

Government officials announced it on Thursday that federal cabinet would not be holding any session. No direct reasons were provided by the officials for cancelling this important session of federal cabinet.

On March 18, PakistanTribe reported quoting a very reliable source from the ministry of commerce and trade that Pakistan will grant MFN status to India with a condition of receiving a substantial concessions in trade from New Delhi.

According to that report, federal finance minister Ishaq Dar was supposed to brief the federal cabinet on possible benefits of granting MFN status to India.

It was also reported that Pakistan was ready to abolish negative list of 1,209 items previously banned to be imported from India.a
