Imran Khan believes in Afridi for victory in T20 World Cup

ISLAMABAD – The former captain of World Cup winning squad of Pakistani cricket team, Imran Khan, has expressed his confidence and belief in all rounder legend Shahid Afridi for winning the title in Twenty20 World Cup 2014.

Imran Khan said in an interview that Afridi’s ability to hit sixes and to bowled crucial batsmen of opponent team, makes him a game changer in this format of the cricket.

Khan also said that our cricketers must change their mentality if they want to win. “I used to play to win and eventually I started wining. So our team should enter the ground with this positive attitude,” he added.

Khan also said that had Muhammad Irfan made the part of the team, he could be the most dangerous bowler due to his extraordinary height.

Talking about the match between India and Pakistan, Khan said that Pakistan would have a psychological advantage on Indians as green shirts had defeated them in Asia Cup.

Moreover, just yesterday the famous former fast bowler of Pakistan, Shoaib Akhtar, also said that if there could be one team able to defeat Pakistan in world Twenty20, its Pakistan.

Pakistan had played two warm matches against New Zealand and South Africa so far. The green shirts’ performance in the both matches were not that satisfactory. Pakistan won the warm up match against New Zealand in last over, while they lost it against South Africans.
