ISLAMABAD – The chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has now officially confirmed that their provincial government’s cabinet to undergo a reshuffle in which portfolios of ministers would be changed.
In an exclusive interview, Khan said that PTI now had the six months’ progress report of all ministers upon which their portfolios will be changed.
When asked if the performance of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK)’s government remained satisfactory then why to reshuffle the cabinet, Khan replied that it is the party’s discreet. Without giving any direct names or hints, Khan said “We are also investigating a forward blog formation by at least three MPAs of PTI in KPK assembly. I am telling you that they would be expelled from the party but we will never surrender to the blackmailing.”
Talking about the KPK’s healthcare initiative Sehat ka Insaf, Khan said that due to the extraordinary success of that project some critiques started leveling corruption charges. “All the money is coming from UNICEF (UN body working for children health and education),” he added.
However, this is not what Ahmad Jawad – a die-hard Insafiyan who recently resigned from PTI – believed in. According to Ahmad Jawad, PTI leaders are making money out of polio campaign in KPK and Imran Khan is well aware of this scenario.
Moreover, Awami National Party (ANP) leader and Senator Zahid Khan had also claimed that at least ten PTI ministers are involved in corruption.
Interestingly, one official communique issued by PTI central media cell after party’s core committee’s meeting also stated that financiers of Sehat ka Insaf personally requested Imran Khan to take charge of the healthcare campaign.
