Pakistan finals deal to bring 3,000MW electricity

Transmission-line-from-IranISLAMABAD – Pakistan has signed a massive deal with a Dubai group to finance and set up power transmission line from Iran to Pakistan.

Pakistan Water and Power Minister inked the deal with Al-Aqili Group as the minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and the group Chief Executive Officer Mohamad Saeed Al Aqili watched the signing.

As per Memorendum of Understanding, the group will finance ans assist bringing 3,000 MegaWatt power to Pakistan.

“The project is aimed overcoming load shedding in the country,” Khawaja said while talking on the occasion.

“Pakistan government is exploring all the avenues to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the industrial and domestic consumersm” he was quoted as saying by the state media.

Pakistan has been facing an acute shortage of power disturbing lives, homes, businesses and industries besides damaging human psychie.
