Many children have become victim of hunger and drought in Thar desert with apathy of the concerned officials was at its height.
Today, the premier Nawaz Sharif visited the place and announced Rs. 1 billion package for Thar’s famine hit people. Sindh government officials and luminaries were accompanying him.
Similarly, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government sent 15 trucks loaded with food and eatables for the affected people.
The Pakistan Army is also active support the people as usual.
“Four medical camps have been established at Diplo‚ Chachro‚ Mithi and Nagarpakar to provide healthcare to malnourished and sick. A team of doctors including three lady officers and three child specialists have treated 1625 patients so far at medical camps,” ISPR release informed.
Social welfare organizations like Al-Khidmat, and other NGOs have already set up camps and have been distributing foods among the people.
