LAHORE – In a wise move to shake Pakistan Peoples Party in its stronghold, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has offered to merge Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Muslim League Pagara group.
He offered this merger during a meeting with Pagara League Chief Pir Sabgatullah Shah Rashidi in Lahore where latter one complained about complete ignorance of his party.
Pir Pagara told PM about activited aimed at his party by Sindh government.
Both of the leaders agreed to merge all Muslim Leagues; however, Pir Pagara sought some time to respond on the offer.
PM was of the view that Karachi’s issue was complicated, but peace was coming slowly.
“The government will not compromise on peace by ending target killing and other crimes.”
The merger is suggested at a time when Pakistan Peoples Party is trying to activate Bilawal Bhutto to start his political career by launching Sindh Festival.
