ISLAMABAD – Section 144 has been imposed in Islamabad, banning public gatherings and display of weapons for two months.
Sources well placed in the district administration confirm that more than five people cannot gather at a location. Public rallies and mass gatherings have been banned; he said quoting to the notification.
It is pertinent to mention that the government has imposed Section 144 in the federal capital two days after the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) submitted the final report of its investigation of Sharif family’s offshore wealth.
Many political parties are demanding for the resignation of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
