KARACHI – Presiding Officers have released results of 63 polling stations which is 70 percent result of the PS-114 constituency. The results show tough competition between Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
According to unconfirmed and unofficial results from 63 polling booths, PP’s Saeed Ghani has secured 13,970 votes at the while MQM-P’s candidate Tessori is close behind with 13360, according to Samaa News’ updates on undeclared results.
The voting began at 8:00 am and concluded at 5:00 pm, as large number of people used their right to franchise to elect the representative.
Tight security arrangements were made for smooth conduct of polling; however, clashes between political workers were witnessed in the constituency.
DG Rangers Major General Mohammad Saeed visited various polling stations and expressed satisfaction over the polling process in a peace-full manner.
