1st Semi-Final: Brilliant Pakistan restrict England to 211

CARDIFF – Superb Pakistan bowling by Pakistan restricts England 211/10 in the first semi-final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 at the Sophia ‘s Garden, Cardiff.

Hasan Ali has bowled brilliantly for his 35/3 in 10 overs. He is now the highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 10 wickets in four matches.

Hasan Ali picked up Bairstow’s wicket in the 16th over. He got Bairstow to lodge the ball towards deep square leg, where Mohammad Hafeez was positioned to take the easy catch.

He was brought back in the attack in 32nd over and he removed in-form Eoin Morgan for 33, and then picked Stokes on 34 in his boundary-less inning.

Bairstow was sent back to the dressing room, having scored 43 runs in 57 balls.

Rumman Raees bagged his first ODI wicket in the fifth over of the game as Hales came down the track lodging the ball straight towards Babar Azam at cover. Hales wrapped up his knock adding 13 runs to the England scorecard.
