CARDIFF – Pakistani bowlers have brought the team back in the game as England has lost five wickets in the first 37 overs in the Champions Trophy semi-final against Pakistan in Cardiff.

The England have scored 162 runs in the loss of 6 wickets after 39 overs. The current run rate is around 4.15.

Hasan Ali has bowled well so far for his 25/2 in 7 overs.

Hasan Ali picked up Bairstow’s wicket in the 16th over. He got Bairstow to lodge the ball towards deep square leg, where Mohammad Hafeez was positioned to take the easy catch.

He was brought back in the attack in 32nd over and he removed in-form Eoin Morgan for 33.

Bairstow was sent back to the dressing room, having scored 43 runs in 57 balls.

Rumman Raees bagged his first ODI wicket in the fifth over of the game as Hales came down the track lodging the ball straight towards Babar Azam at cover. Hales wrapped up his knock adding 13 runs to the England scorecard.

The match is expected to go ahead uninterrupted, with only a slim chance of rain later in the day.
