Afghanistan should focus on its internal affairs not on blaming Pakistan: Army

RAWALPINDI – Pakistan Army on Tuesday while condemning the terrorist attack in Kabul which claimed the lives of 150 people urged Afghanistan to focus on its internal issues rather than blame Pakistan.

A Special Corps Commanders conference was held in which matters pertaining to regional security in the aftermath of the Kabul bombing were discussed. According to the ISPR, Pakistan Army stood with the people and army of Afghanistan against terrorism.

After the bombing, Afghanistan blamed Pakistan for having a hand in the deadly attack. The Corps Commanders declared such allegations as unjustified, Samaa News reported.

The Corps Commanders said that the armed forces of Pakistan were ready to defend the motherland against any threat. According to the ISPR, the Corps Commanders reaffirmed their commitment that Pakistan would play its role in promoting regional harmony.

The blast was the latest in a long line of attacks in Kabul. The province surrounding the capital had the highest number of casualties in the first three months of 2017 thanks to multiple attacks in the city, with civilians bearing the brunt of the violence.
