Sammy hopes to defend PSL title

LAHORE – The former captain of West Indian team and the hero of Pakistan Super League (PSL) look forward to defending the title in the PSL 2017.

In the landmark final match of PSL in Lahore, the team headed by Darin Sammy beat Sarfraz Ahmad’s team Quetta Gladiator by 39 runs.

Marlon Samuels, David Malan, and Chris Jordan — for the Javed Afridi-owned franchise who arrived in Pakistan to participate in the final.

The captain of Peshawar Zalmi said that he gave his hat (turban) along with his stuff to Javed, he will keep it safe.

“I went to Hong Kong right after the game so Javed has it. Hopefully next year we could defend our title and I could wear it again,” as quoted by Tribune.

The arrival of international cricketers in the final of PSL helped Pakistan in bringing the international cricket home.

The chairman of PSL hoped that he could bring more matches of PSL in Pakistan, and in Karachi also.
