BIRMINGHAM – Pakistan’s young leggie Shadab Khan is new to the limelight and the youngsters like him find it hard to handle the fame, and so the pressure.
Especially, when it is Pakistan playing India, that too in an ICC event, the pressure is beyond one’s imagination.
However, for an 18-year-old youngster, being new to the arena is kind of a blessing in disguise.
“It’s true I have not played against India but I have watched several India-Pakistan matches on television and know that it’s a pressure game,” said Shadab who rose from the Pakistan Super League’s second edition to the national ranks.
When asked about his preparations for the big game, here is what Shadab had to say: “I will do my best because I know that if you perform against India you get more fame and recognition,” said Shadab.
Shadab was of the opinion that Pakistan will go in the game with their confidence high up the sky, because of an outstanding West Indies tour and then a fine warm-up game against Bangladesh.
“If people believe India is favorite then we too had a good series in the West Indies and our morale is high,” said Shadab.
