ISLAMABAD – An Anti-Terrorism Court has extended the 14-day judicial remand of four suspects for uploading blasphemous content on social media on Thursday.
ATC Judge Syed Kausar Abbas Zaidi heard the case against the four accused, he then directed the chairman of Federal Investigation Agency to complete a challah until the next date.
The court extended the remand and adjourned the case until June 15.
Increased publication of blasphemous content has become a matter of concern for the authorities, now the government is trying to curb this menace from social media.
Few days before the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar have shown serious concerns over the increased blasphemy on social media.
He threatened the offenders and vowed to take severe action against the culprits.
Forces have arrested several suspected blasphemers for Islamabad and also from the other parts of the country.
