Bilawal: Nawaz scrapped 25,000MW power plant projects sign by Benazir

KARACHI – The Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari claimed on Wednesday that Nawaz Sharif has scrapped the electricity power projects of 25000MW, signed by his late mother due to his shortsightedness.

The PPP chief was speaking at the inauguration of 100MW gas-fired power project in Nooriabad, build by the contribution of Sindh government and a private company.

Sindh now becomes first province which is generating its own power using transmit ion line of 95 kilometers.

“My mother [Benazir Bhutto] had signed and approved pacts for 25,000MW power projects but Mian Sahib [Prime Minister Sharif] scrapped them and and plunged the country into darkness,” he added.

He said that the Prime Minister will be ousted from his post after the Joint Investigation Team completes its probe.

The government of Sindh has inked with the K-Electric to sell electricity from Nooriabad, to lower the energy crisis of Karachi.
