EDGBASTON – The rain has returned again, and the warm-up match between Australia and Pakistan has been stopped.

Australia were 57/1 in 10.2 overs when the heavy rain returned at Edgbaston, causing a halt in play.

The match already started 2 and a half hour late due to rain, and wet outfield. It was reduced to 34 overs for both sides.

Australia lost their swashbuckling opener David Warner on 30, he scored 11 runs before falling prey to Mohammad Amir.

Both Australia and Pakistan have won their first practice matches, as Australia chased down 329 runs against Sri Lanka and then Pakistan chased 342 against Bangladesh.

The signs indicate that all the matches of ICC Champions Trophy would be thrilling and high-scoring fixtures.

Pakistan is all set to take on arch-rivals India in their CT17 opener on June 4 at the same ground.
