NEW DELHI – Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has sent an application to its government to get the approval of Pak-India cricket series on Friday.
Both countries had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2014 which stated that the cricket teams of Pakistan and India will play series in future.
However, the political situation in the region has not supported the series between the two countries.
The Secretary of BCCI Amitabh Chaudhry said that we are ready to play series with Pakistan but waiting for the reply of government.
A meeting between the officials of BCCI and PCB will hold on Mar 29, in which they discuss the bilateral series.
The Chairman of the Executive Committee of PCB, Najam Sethi said that if did not accept the proposal of Pakistan, then we will take the case on Tribunal.
He said that Pakistan will present its case in ICC if India rejected to play with Pakistan, India had denied to play with Pakistan in past.
