ISLAMABAD – Pakistan is likely to take Iran in confidence over its decision to join the Saudi-led military alliance headed by the former Chief of Army Staff (retd.) General Raheel Sharif.
Sources revealed that the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa would visit Tehran in the next few days to discuss the issues with the Iranian leadership.
General Bajwa will try to negotiate with the leadership of Iran regarding the participation of Pakistan in the military alliance.
The sources further told that Pakistan could implement on its previous policy to being a mediator between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
The matter of the killing of 10 Iranian soldiers at the border will also be discussed in the meeting; the soldiers were killed by the firing of Sunni militias under the territory of Pakistan.
In response the Army Chief threatens Pakistan to launch an operation in Pakistan; the statement had made several complications in the bilateral relations of Pakistan and Iran.
