NEWDEHLI – Khawar Qureshi, who is recently repenting Pakistan in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) over the Kulbhushan Jadhav case has also reportedly served India in past.
ICJ has recently stayed the death penalty of Jadhav given by a military court of Pakistan; many politicians of Pakistan criticized the appointment of Khawar as Lawyer from the Pakistan’s side.
Reports show that Khawar represented India more than 15 years ago in the US, a case was initiated by Enron (an energy company) over the closer of Dabhol power project.
The UPA government in 2004 sends a new team of Law officers headed by attorney general Milon Banergy to manage the attribution over Dabhol against Enron.
However, India had lost the case and millions of dollars spent on the project and also as fees of Khawar Qureshi, a host of UK firms had invited to take India case.
A spokesman for the law firm said that after the appointment of a new attorney general the entire legal team was replaced.
