FIA to test social media activists over anti-army posts |

ISLAMABAD – The Federal government announced on Saturday that it is initiating plans to curb the increased criticism against the Army of Pakistan, despite strong criticism by opposition parties and human rights groups.

Officials told that FIA has finalized the list of 200 social media activists who were allegedly involved in the anti-army tweets and posts on social media plate forms.

According to the report, the list contains names of some journalists and social media activists of ruling PML-N and PTI parties.

Almost 80 people have been busted by the investigation agency while their iPhones, Laptops, mobile phones, and iPads have been seized by the agency for the further investigation.

A few days earlier Imran Khan had warned the government to launch protest if it tried to stop the social media campaign of PTI workers.

Addressing a gathering in Quetta Imran Khan said he would be forced to launch a street campaign if government touched its workers and or banned their social media pages.
