Traffic warden in action as Wasim Akram speed puts him in troubleLAHORE – Traffic Wardens have imposed a Rs. 500 fine on former fast bowler Wasim Akram for over speeding in the provincial capital.

According to police officials, they had seen a speedy car near Punjab University’s New Campus and chased it.

On stopping the car, they found national star in the car.

“We have shown him the speed of his car, which is 78 kilometers while it should not be more than 60 kmph,” they further said.

Following this, the wardens imposed a Rs. 500 fine, which was taken gently by Wasim. Later on he set out again for his destination.

He was going to Gaddafi Stadium from his home for his cricket engagements. It should mentioned here that speed limit at Canal Road, the artery of the city, is 60 kmph.
