ISLAMABAD – The Spokesperson of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Naeem-ul-Haque on Wednesday apologized for his tweet regarding the former special assistant of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

On Tuesday the PTI’s leader tweeted about an old picture of government officials meeting with the Chinese nationals in which Tariq Fatemi was also present.

In his tweet, he emphasized that the former secretary of Prime Minister was present at the meeting in China’s One Belt One Road Forum.

“Nawaz continues to deceive the nation. Tariq Fatemi accompanying him in China. So his being relieved of his duties was a lie. What a farce,” Haque’s tweet had read, as quoted by Pakistan Today.

While talking to media he said that we were ‘collectively misinformed,’ Shah Mahmood and Mazari also done the same mistake.

The officials of government have condemned the tweet and said that ‘Old habits die hard.’
