KARACHI – A 15-year old Afghan boy was allegedly killed by a flat-owner after he demanded Rs 25 for cleaning the staircase of a flat on Sunday, Police said.

Ayaz Malik, opened fire on the boy when he asked for money after cleaning the stairs of his flat in old Karimabad.

The boy named Noor Agha was gunned downed by flat owner Ayaz Malik Jeewa, said Azizsbad SHO Jamal Leghari.

The officer revealed that the boy is a scavenger who had arrived from Afghanistan along with his two brothers and live in Machar Colony of Sohrab Goth.

The offender killed the boy when he asked for money after washing the staircase of the flat owned by Ayaz Malik and flee from the crime scene.

The man locked his roam from inside and managed to run from the window leaving behind the injured boy at the doorsteps of his flat.

Police have initially registered a FIR against the accused after the complaint launched by victim’s brother, the search for the culprit is under way.
