The Commission stated in its statement that the regulatory body observed serious irregularities and mismanagement in the institute’s academic operations.
“HEC has banned the operations of Imperial College of Business Studies (ICBS), Lahore from offering further admissions with effect from April 2017 onwards at all levels/degree programmers,” read an advertisement published in newspapers on Sunday. “Parents, students, and public, in general, are advised not to take admission in this institution.”
The Commission further said it will not recognize degrees awarded to students from the educational institute from April 2017, reported Tribune.

It said only new student intakes from April 2017 have been stopped until the completion of “upgradation process”, however, existing students will not be affected with this student alert.
“Their degrees verification and attestations by HEC will not be affected,” the statement said, adding it was part of the procedure to stop new intakes until the upgrade process in completed as directed by the regulatory bodies.
