ISLAMABAD – The chief selector of Pakistan Cricket Team Inzamamul Haq said on Saturday that the chances for victory against India in the upcoming May 4 match are bright.
Inzamam hoped that this time Pakistan will beat India and end the long lasting struggle in the international tournaments. “We don’t have a great record against India in major events but every day is a new day and I am sure the players will perform well in the first match,” he said, as quoted by Tribune.
He further said that the match of June 4 will help Pakistan in qualifying for the Semifinals, Pakistani team is quite confident on account of ICC Champions Trophy.
Pakistan will play two warm-up games in Birmingham before playing against India, scheduled match will be played on May 27 against Bangladesh and on May 29 it will take on the world champions Australia.
