LARKANA – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Sindh arranged a protest rally and staged a sit-in against acute water shortages and electricity and gas load shedding in Larkana.
PPP Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro who is also provincial Food Minister led the rally.
A Large number of women and men took part in the sit-in and chanted slogans against the federal government.
Nisar Khuhro said: “We have taken to streets to express solidarity with our people who are facing serious issues of water shortages and prolonged electricity blackouts and gas outages”.
He harshly criticized Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and warned ‘we will not only stage sit-ins in front of power distribution companies’ offices but also on the bordering areas of Sindh and Punjab and force the prime minister to leave office”.
He said that sit-ins will be staged on May 11 in Mirpurkhas, on May 16 in Nawabshah and in Sukkur on May 21.
