ISLAMABAD – As country-wide crackdown is going on against the refugees in Pakistan, State is still a favorite refuge asylum for the people of war-torn countries.

Pakistan has deported a total of 52,144 foreigners in five years and has deported almost 40,149 refuges.

The refugees tried to intervene in the state of Pakistan through an illegal gateway, the arrests have made during five years by provential Special Branch and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa is the largest asylum in Pakistan for the refuges, 72pc of arrest has made in the the province between Junuary 1, 2012 to December 31, 2016.

The figures were shown by the Ministry of Interior after the request of PML-N MNA Chaudhry Muhammad Shahbaz Baber.

Accordingly, Punjab is at the second position on account of most arrested persons, have figure of 4,221, while Baloshistan is on the third position with 4,131 arrests.
