ISLAMABAD – Freshly elected chief of United Nations Organization (UNO) has appreciated the role of Pakistan in Peacekeeping and also look forward to visiting Pakistan soon, he said at a dinner hosted by Pakistan’s ambassador to U.N. Maleeha Lodhi.

The ambassador of Pakistan to U.N. has given him an invitation to visit Pakistan on the behalf of government, in the meeting with Guterres at Davos (Switzerland) the Prime Minister of Pakistan had also invited him to visit Pakistan.

The dinner was attended by many ambassadors from different parts of the world, served with the dishes from all four provinces of Pakistan.

Welcoming the Secretary-General, Ambassador Lodhi said, “You have visited Pakistan many times but this is the first time you have come to the Pakistan House”, referring to the official residence of Pakistan’s Ambassador, as quoted by Dunya News

Maliha Lodhi presented a picture of Secretary-General in the traditional costume of Pakistan taken during his visit to Pakistan as a U.N. HigCommissionerer for Refugees, he liked that very much.
