Misbah out on 99, creates history in second Test | pakistantribe.com

BRIDGETOWN – Pakistan Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq has become the only batsman in the history to be dismissed on 99 runs twice in Test matches.

He has now witnessed three occasions where he fell prey of nervous nineties. Misbah achieved this unwanted feat in the back-to-back Tests against West Indies. He missed the hundred by one run in the first innings of the first Test when Mohammad Abbas got out on the other end.

This time, he was caught in two minds one short of a ton. Short of a length, outside off, he made a late decision to leave it but is late in withdrawing his bat.
