LAHORE – The Law Minister of Punjab Rana Sanaullah gave his response to the tweet from the Army spokesperson Maj. Gen. Asif Ghafoor that if there was a bad intention behind it, an action is necessary.
While talking to media in Lahore, he said that if the tweet is a result of a misunderstanding than it should be ignored. Although if the intention was against the interest of the state then action should be taken.
“Matters cannot go ahead without civilian supremacy,” he said, as quoted by Samaa.
Sanaullah emphasized that the state institutions should not use tweets for their communication, they cause complications.
“The Prime Minister’s Office had given his approval rather than issued a notification,” he said, as quoted Samaa.
A few days ago Army spokesperson rejected the report of inquiry commission by saying that ‘It is incomplete and not in line with the recommendations.’
After that, the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar said that state institutions should not use twitter for communication. He said that the final report will be issued by Interior Ministry, not by PM office.
