ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has arrived at Islamabad’s Parade Ground to address party workers and supporters attending a rally demanding Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s resignation.
PTI, in its post Panama verdict strategy, has geared up to demonstrate its power in Islamabad on Friday, intending to force the sitting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to step down for being failed to provide concrete evidence in Panamagate case.
Around fifty thousand chairs have been placed for the attendees. ‘Manzil Qareeb Hai’ (Destination is nearer) is the theme of the rally.
Earlier, Khan had leveled bribe allegations on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s leadership allegedly offered Rs. 10 billion to him for keeping distance from Panamagate case and adopting silence over the issue.
However, PML-N leadership refuted the allegations and said to sue Imran Khan for making baseless statements by urging him to disclose the name who offered him the gratification money.
