The tech giant Google celebrated the 88th birthday to Kannada actor and singer Rajkumar and dedicated his today’s doodle to him.
Rajkumar was a finest Indian actor, born on April 24, 1929.He is referred to as Nata Saarvabhouma (Emperor of Actors), Bangarada Manushya (Man of Gold), Vara Nata (Gifted Actor) and Rajanna (Brother Raj).
The team of Google decided to celebrate by portraying his vibrantly painted image of him beaming at a crowd of moviegoers from the big screen.
This is a most wonderful gift for an actor who worked in more than 200 films in his career, started his cinema life in 1954 from a film Bedara Kannapa to Shabdhavedi which is his last film in 2000.
Rajkumar was an avid Carnatic music performer and won three National Awards (one of them was for playback singing), many Karnataka awards, south film awards and much more.
His personal life was same dramatic as his on-screen life. In 2000 he was kidnapped from his farm house and remains in captivity for 108 days and on April 12, 2006, died due to cardiac arrest.
