OTTAWA – Pakistani education rights activist and Nobel Prize holder Malala Yousafzai arrives on Parliament Hill, is greeted by PM Trudeau.
Malala Yousafzai is calling on Canadian young people to fight for gender equality and says “feminist” men and boys are critical to changing the status quo.
The Nobel Peace Prize recipient and girls’ education activist is set to receive Canadian citizenship today and make history as the youngest person to address Parliament.
She was set to arrive on Parliament Hill at about 11:30 a.m. ET and address Parliament at noon ET and CBC.ca will carry it live.
Yousafzai began her busy day in Ottawa by making a surprise visit to Ottawa’s Ridgemont High School, where she delivered a strong message to the diverse student population, calling for a collective fight for change
